Duke and Duchess of Cambridge finally join rest of Royal Family for belated Christmas celebration - just in time for annual pheasant shoot
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finally joined the rest of the Royal Family for a belated Christmas celebration, after choosing to spend the festive season with the Middleton family instead.
William and Kate arrived at Sandringham House, the Queen’s private estate in Norfolk, early on Boxing Day just in time for Prince Philip’s annual pheasant shoot.
The couple were driven the 155 miles from Kate’s new family home in Berkshire to East Anglia, a journey which takes around three and a half hours, by their Scotland Yard police protection officers.

William, 30, then joined his grandfather and other relatives for a morning’s hunting while Kate, who is in the early stages of pregnancy, opted to remain at the house with the Queen as it was pouring with rain. The monarch has herself only just got over a heavy cold.
But they did join their menfolk for a slap-up lunch at Wood Farm, a small lodge on the 20,000 acre estate, for a hearty lunch, chauffeur driven in a fleet of Land Rovers.
The meal was laid out in a conservatory area to the rear of the house and included cold meats, soup and flasks of steaming hot toddy, although clearly the Duchess stuck to soft drinks.

It is believed that Kate may have re-joined the shooting party after lunch, however, watching from the warmth of one of the cars.
Other members of the Royal Family present included the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York and his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Prince Charles.
Charles’s wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, who has two children and five young grand-children of her own, is believed to have left to spend time with them at her own home in Wiltshire.
Sources have told the Mail that William and Kate stayed at the royal residence overnight after the shoot and are likely to remain on the estate for at least another day before they are expected to fly to Scotland for the New Year.

They tend to celebrate Hogmanay at Birkhall, Prince Charles’s private estate in the Highlands.
The couple’s surprise decision to skip the royals’ annual get-together in Norfolk in favour of a family Christmas at the Middleton’s new £4.85 million mansion in Berkshire was a distinct break with tradition.
Royal aides said the couple had the full backing of both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and suggested that the decision had been taken in order to give Kate, who was hospitalised for three nights earlier this month with severe pregnancy-related vomiting and dehydration, the opportunity for a quiet family break.
They also asked members of the media to respect their privacy and not use any photographs taken of them, even when they attended a public service on Christmas Day at the Middleton’s village church.

But the Mail now understands that the couple had always planned to spend the festive season with Michael and Carole Middleton at their new home, a Georgian manor set in extensive grounds.
This suggests that the Cambridges may join other modern couples in spending alternate Christmases with their families in future – one of a series of changes the young Windsors are likely to ring in.
Next month St James’s Palace is to announce whether William plans to stay in the RAF, for whom he works as a Search and Rescue Pilot, after his tour of duty ends in September or leave to become a full-time working royal.
They are also due to reveal when the Cambridge’s new son or daughter, who will become third in line to the throne, is due.
Assuming the child was conceived after their return from the South Pacific at the end of September, the child is likely to be born in early summer, a busy time for the couple who will be overseeing the final renovations to Apartment 1A, their new royal residence in Kensington Palace.

Horror as man 'suffocated pregnant girlfriend, 17, by sitting on her head after deliberately crashing car at 100 mph'

A 19-year-old Pennsylvania man intentionally slammed his car at 100 mph into a guardrail, and then smothered his 17-year-old girlfriend by sitting on her head after learning that she might be pregnant, according to police.
Police filed homicide and other charges last week against Benjamin Daniel Klinger, 19, of Elizabethtown, for the December 4 death of Sammi Heller on an interstate near Manheim.
‘At first glance, this appeared to be simply another tragic vehicle accident,’ Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman told  ‘However, the police worked hand-in-hand with our forensic experts and saw this was far more complicated, sinister and certainly criminal.’

Volatile relationship: Benjamin Klinger, left, is accused of killing his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Samantha Heller, right, by crashing the car they were in and then sitting on her head until she died of asphyxiation
The bizarre and tragic incident unfolded at around 2am on Route 283 in Ralpho Township when police say Klinger rammed his Toyota sedan into a guardrail, and then proceeded to smother his girlfriend.
Heller, a senior at J.P. McCaskey High School, was described in her obituary as athletic and a lover of motorcycles and horses. According to court documents, the 17-year-old and Klinger had a rocky on-again, off-again relationship.
She allegedly told a friend that Klinger previously tried to scare her while driving and that he had threatened to kill them both in a crash.

Another witness told detectives that Heller said that Klinger would push Heller into walls and once pushed her down a set of stairs, police alleged.
Days before the crash, Heller told several people that she was pregnant and Klinger became aware of that. Police would not say whether the 19-year-old was the father, or whether the victim was indeed expecting.
'Abusive': People who knew the couple said that Klinger had allegedly threatened to kill Heller in the past and even pushed her down a set of stairs 'Abusive': People who knew the couple said that Klinger had allegedly threatened to kill Heller in the past and even pushed her down a set of stairs
A truck driver who came upon the 2am crash heard Heller hanging outside the window and screaming, ‘Get off of me!’ but was told by 911 operators not to move the crash victims.
When police arrived, Klinger was sitting on top of Heller's head and torso, according to the arrest affidavit.
‘Klinger was observed by the officers to be what appeared as “slipping in and out of consciousness,” because he would close his eyes for several seconds, moan, and then reopen his eyes while continuing to be positioned on top of the victim's head and torso while the victim was face down,’ police wrote.
Based on medical records, investigators later concluded Klinger was pretending to be unconscious.
An autopsy perform of Heller’s body has revealed that the teen died from multiple injuries and asphyxiation.
Dr. Wayne Ross, who performed the autopsy, concluded 'the cause of death is consistent with someone sitting on (Heller).'
Detectives recovered marijuana, cash, a digital scale, a pipe, pills and a black air pistol from the wreckage.
Troubled teen: In a separate case, Klinger faces an assault charge for allegedly running over Heller's foot in May, and two counts of disseminating explicit sexual materials to a minor Troubled teen: In a separate case, Klinger faces an assault charge for allegedly running over Heller's foot in May, and two counts of disseminating explicit sexual materials to a minor
Klinger was also charged with aggravated assault, drug offenses and driving violations.
Separately, he faces a charge of simple assault for allegedly running over Heller's foot in May, and two counts of disseminating explicit sexual materials to a minor for allegedly texting photos and video of Heller.
He had been free on a combined $27,500 bail on those charges, according to court records.
Police also determined that Klinger, who was found outside of the car on the passenger's side, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and wasn't ejected, which means that he deliberately got out of the car and walked over to Keller.
The incident marks the first time in Lancaster county history that a driver was charged with homicide. Klinger is also the first motiorst to be charged with any form of non-vehicular homicide since 1995.

'Whitney Houston was murdered': Private investigator claims he has video proving singer was killed by drug dealers

Whitney Houston was murdered': Private investigator claims he has video proving singer was killed by drug dealers
Whitney Houston was murdered by drug dealers and a new surveillance video proves it, a Hollywood private investigator is claiming
Paul Huebl says he has turned over evidence to the FBI that shows the 48-year-old singer was killed over a drug debt in February.

The medical examiner ruled that she drowned in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel after taking a cocktail of cocaine, marijuana and several legal drugs.

reporting that Huebl believes the troubled star was targeted by several 'high powered drug dealers who sent thugs to collect a huge debt she owed for drugs.'
She owed $1.5million to dealers, according to some reports.
However, Huebl told MailOnline that he doesn't know for certain that Houston was killed - only that evidence he collected could point in that direction.

He says that the star received a delivery of cocaine to her room the day before her death and could be heard saying, 'I'm tired of this sh*t.'
He says the Houston had previously been subjected to harassment by dealers trying to collect on her debt.

Huebl says he obtained surveillance video that shows two unknown men who repeatedly went to the Beverly Hilton and integrated themselves into Houston's entourage.

The private investigator claims these are the men who may have slipped into Houston's hotel room and killed her.

He also disagrees with the Los Angeles County Coroner's ruling that the star's death was 'accidental.'

'Whitney’s body shows classic defense wounds that would have occurred while she was battling for her life,' he said.
However, Huebl conceded that the marks on her hands and fingernails could have been obtained in some other ways and that they were only 'suspected' defensive wounds.

The private investigator said he also has evidence that Houston's hotel room was ransacked, showing further hints of a violent struggle.
Huebl says he gave his evidence to the Chicago field office of the FBI in the hopes that the agency will open a criminal investigation.
'I think that if you put all these things together, they do kind of spell homicide, with a big red capital "H,"' he told MailOnline.
The FBI did not immediately respond to requests for comment. A message left with Beverley Hills police was not immediately returned.

Heubl, a former Chicago police officer who became an actor after he retired, says he conducted the investigation after being hired by a client who did not believe the official reports on Houston's death.
He believes Beverley Hills police did not fully investigate Houston's death because they did not want to bring the negative attention to Beverly Hills or to the Beverly Hilton.

Huebl would not say who hired him.

A charity fundraiser who fell 350ft off a Swiss mountain in a freak accident has woken from a coma and spoken of his joy of spending Christmas at home.
Roger Parker, 54, who has raised £100,000 for Macmillan Cancer, was abseiling down a glacier with a climbing team in August when the rock his rope was attached to crumbled.

The father-of-three fell on to an icy ledge before it collapsed and he plummeted further down the mountain breaking his left leg in two places.
The design engineer was taken from Switzerland to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where he remained in a coma.
Mr Parker, from Cambridge, said he is 'just grateful to be alive' and to have been able to spend Christmas with his wife Lesley-Ann, 53,and three children.

He said: 'I really appreciated it after all that has happened this year.I am coping quite well but my right side is a bit vague. The rehabilitation has been great and I am walking at a fair rate and hope to get back to what I was one day.'
Mr Parker began fundraising for Macmillan in 2000 after his friend and employee James Page died of stomach cancer at the age of 27.

His challenges have included walking the Inca trail in Peru, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the North Col of Everest and Aconcagua in the Andes.
News of his accident attracted support from well-wishers around the country, with the family inundated with cards and voicemails.
Messages of support and a signed shirt were even sent to the Merseyside native from Everton Football Club’s manager David Moyes and some of their star players, who wished him a speedy recovery and praised his charitable efforts.
Mr Parker was in the coma until October and was allowed home shortly before Christmas.
Mrs Parker said this week: 'We call it Parker's Christmas miracle and it is just so wonderful to have him back and alive.
'It's just the simple things like having Christmas dinner with him that is just amazing. Things that you normally take for granted.'
Maureen Rutter, director of direct services at Macmillan, said: 'We are so grateful for the fundraising he has done so far and this new appeal. It will make a real difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.'

We want her wardrobe AND her face: The Duchess of Cambridge's nose is the most requested plastic surgery procedure in UK

All we want for Christmas is to look like Kate, apparently, as the Duchess of Cambridge’s delicate nose tops the list of the most requested celebrity face parts by plastic surgery patients this year.
If you thought she was lucky for finding love, marrying a prince and now expecting a baby, it seems her natural beauty can now be added on to the list of things to envy Kate for.
Over the past year requests to plastic surgeons to look like Kate Middleton have trebled, new figures reveal.

Michelle Obama has a very neon Christmas with highlighter yellow pedicure in Hawaii

If Michelle Obama's greige nail polish she wore during her Democratic National Convention speech was enough to spark discussion fromPulitzer prize-winning authors, then her Christmas Day polish is sure to cause fireworks.
The First Lady, visiting a military base in Hawaii with President Barack Obama, celebrated December 25th in summery style, wearing a sleeveless cotton dress, sandals and a neon yellow pedicure.
While she kept her hands bare, the pop of yellow on her toes was a simple way to liven up and add some colour to her black and white ensemble.

The couple were visiting military personnel eating Christmas Dinner at Anderson Hall at the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
The president and his family spent the Christmas holiday in Hawaii, Obama’s birthplace, and the perfect location for a bright, summer-inspired pedicure.

She teamed her eye-popping polish with a pair of Lanvin sandals.
She has worn the sandals, originally $995, once before in September 2011 during an Independence day barbeque at the White House.

With relatively strict codes of conservatism for Mrs Obama's wardrobe, it seems an alternatively-coloured manicure (or in this instance, pedicure) is the most cost-effective and subtle way to have a bit of fun with her looks.
Over the past year, there has been a huge surge of interest in nail polish and nail art, which has never been more fashionable, something the First Lady has clearly taken note of.
There are now clearly-defined colour trends, and Mrs Obama is not only choosing to deviate from classic First Lady shades of nude, pink and red,she is reinventing them one colour at a time.

Sales of nail polish have soared by 54 per cent in the past year, according to market researcher, the NPD Group, and Michelle Obama favourite Jason Wu even launched a limited-edition nail-polish line last year.
Jan Arnold, of Creative Nail Design, told CNBC: 'I think for real women, if the option is either buying a screeching neon yellow dress or a screeching yellow manicure, she'll opt for the manicure. Nails are a cheap thrill.'
OPI's Suzi Weiss-Fischmann added in an interview with Ology.com: 'Nail color has really achieved the status of an accessory and I think it's wonderful. It's an affordable luxury and it makes us feel good.'
