Not exactly a bridal hairdo! Miley Cyrus shaves her head to rock an edgy undercut

It's not quite a Britney, but Miley Cyrus is certainly keeping fans on their toes with her new hairstyle.
The former Disney princess appears keen to prove that being a fiancée to Liam Hemsworth does not mean she will be hanging up her microphone and rocking an apron with an army of little ones.
Instead, the 19-year-old has chopped off her locks in favour of an edgy shaved undercut.

Miley initially tweeted a picture of herself at the moment her ballet bun was to be chopped off.

It wasn't long before she received backlash from fans, with the Party In The USA singer quickly defending her decision.
She wrote: 'if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)'

Obviously pleased with the outcome, the Hannah Montana actress poignantly told her seven million followers: 'Never felt more me in my whole life'.
And the stark difference in styles seemed to have bemused a passer-by who didn't recognise the teenager, with the Nashville-born star adding: 'someone just told me im prettier than Miley Cyrus.'

Continuing on her quest to morph into an emo kid, Miley complemented her hair with a heavy black sweater, silver barbed wire necklace and a pair of chunky boots.

She tweeted: 'most successful Sally day EVER! I feel pretty ohhhh so pretty and gayyyy.. bliss :)'.

It seems Miley has finally settled on a style she likes, changing her locks several times over recent weeks.
The bride-to-be, who got engaged to The Hunger Games actor Hemsworth in June, was known for her trademark brunette hair before she showcased a slick razor cut bob last month.

Despite the change, Miley appeared unhappy with the style, frequently wearing it up in a bun - whether she was out and about or heading to one of her infamous Pilates sessions.
Just last week, she went for the chop again, perhaps preparing for today's huge jump.
Hollywood hairdresser Chris McMillan, the creator of Jennifer Aniston's infamous 'Rachel' haircut from her Friends days, was the man behind the style.
