It seems that Cyndi Lauper is forever stuck in an 80s time warp.
The singer once again displayed her quirky style as she hit the red-carpet on Monday night.
The 59-year-old's bright yellow eyeshadow clashed with her pink-tinged voluminous tresses as she attended the TimesTalks Presents: 'Creative Collaboration: Harvey Fierstein & Cyndi Lauper' in New York.

The True Colours singer also harked back to the punk era by wearing a sheer tartan shirt paired with a sleeveless tuxedo style button-up dress.
The revealing ensemble featured a small split at the front, allowing the songstress to flash some of her legs.
The Grammy Award winning star rounded out the outfit with a pair of peep toe Mary-Jane style stilettos worn with sheer nude stockings.

During the evening, Cyndi hammed it up on the red-carpet alongside Fierstein, who opted for a more casual combination consisting of denim jeans, colourful New Balance sneakers, a black polo top and grey wool jacket.  
The pair were at the event to talk about their newly collaborated Broadway show, Kinky Boots.

Cyndi also recently stepped back into the spotlight appearing in her new reality show Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual, which documents her juggling work and family life.
The first episode, which aired on the WE network this month, showed her doing normal things like washing dishes and joking around with her husband of 21 years.
Cyndi says the series is about ‘the struggle of the juggle’ as fans see her rehearse for The Voice and attend the Kentucky Derby.
The cameras follow her from New York to Los Angeles, and she admits her lifestyle means she doesn't see her 14-year-old son as often as she'd like.
‘I'm a f**king renaissance woman!’ she declares at one point.
