Oops! Tom Cruise on the hunt for his BlackBerry after mislaying it on promo tour


is at the centre of a privacy scare after he lost his BlackBerry mobile device in Canada.
The Hollywood star is currently promoting his World War II film Valkyrie on Canadian TV shows and was dismayed to find his communication handheld missing.
Cruise, 46, appears to mislaid his BlackBerry when he was appearing on Entertainment Tonight Canada.

It is likely phone numbers belonging to his wife Katie Holmes, ex-wife Nicole Kidman and famous friends David Beckham and Will Smith would be on the phone.
National Post columnist Shinan Govani reported the actor's representatives called the Toronto studio to ask crew to search for it shortly after he finished filming.
Govani wrote: 'A search was done, but, nada. So, basically, someone in Toronto has Top Gun's crackberry.'

 
During Cruise's promotional stint in Toronto, he showed off his dance moves on MTV TRL.
He also announced he had stopped talking about his controversial Scientology religion in public after experiencing a backlash several years ago.
He said: 'I just said, "That's it, no more, go to the (Scientology) website.'"
He also admitted he could have done things differently in 2005, when he performed some bad PR moves including criticising Brooke Shields for using medication to overcome her post-natal depression.
He said: 'All I want is to help people. I could have communicated it in a way that was better, no question. I think I could have handled things better.'
Cruise's Valkyrie is set for release in the U.S. this month, after being delayed several times.
The film was originally set for release in the summer, then was postponed until October, then February 2009, before settling for Christmas Day.
Valkyrie, about German war hero Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg who led an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, in set for release in Britain on January 23rd.
